This gets three stars because it does work, and the content is good. But there are so many quality-of-life improvements that could be made to the app. Just off the top of my head: * synchronise saved articles across devices (sometimes I read on my phone, sometimes on my tablet), * remember what article and where in it I got to and go straight there next time I open it (sync between devices, too) * let me mark issues as read so that when catching up on older ones I've missed I know what I've read

Nice app, useful articles that are handy to keep up to date with science. The only issue i have is that content is not cycled quickly enough. E.g., on 4 out of 5 visits i only find 1 or 2 new articles, and if they don't happen to interest me I leave a bit disappointed. Consider more frequent updates and adding Earth, Chemistry, and Society sections, which are only available if you log in with a Web browser but not via the app.

Does not work with Google Play SUBSCRIPTION! Took out the subscription through GP, worked fine for a while then restricted access. when signed into the app was notified I did not have a subscription, sign out and the same app tells me I have a Play subscription. Contacted New Scientist subscriptions and they didn't want to know. it was a Google problem not theirs! BE AWARE....
